§ 6-239. Plumbing inspector, assistants.

  • (a)

    There is hereby established the position of plumbing inspector and positions for necessary assistants to the plumbing inspector as may be required.

    (b)

    The plumbing inspector, with the aid of assistants as approved by the board of directors, shall exercise the following powers and duties:

    (1)

    Inspect all plumbing, drainage and gas piping for compliance with this article and all regulations made pursuant hereto.

    (2)

    Attend all meetings of the board.

    (3)

    Make investigations of plumbing and gas equipment.

    (4)

    Enter and inspect at reasonable hours plumbing and gas installations on public or private property within the jurisdiction of the city.

    (5)

    Conduct investigations and experiments for the advancement of technical knowledge relating to plumbing and gas fitting.
