§ 6-276. Hear appeals.

  • The plumbing advisory board shall hear all appeals from persons or agencies alleging that they have been aggrieved by a decision or interpretation of the city's inspecting officials with reference to plumbing and gas fitting codes and ordinances applicable in the city. Any such appeal shall be submitted in writing to the plumbing inspector within thirty (30) days of decision or interpretation by the inspecting officials. The appeal shall specify the grounds upon which the appeal was taken. If, but only if, the board finds that the subject matter of the appeal involves an interpretation of the applicable codes or ordinances, the board shall, within a reasonable period of time, review the decision or interpretation of the inspecting officials and shall issue its decision which may affirm, modify or reverse the decision or interpretation of the inspecting officials. The decision of the board shall be in writing and shall specify any manner in which the decision of the inspecting officials has been modified or reversed and shall state the grounds therefor.
