§ 6-3. Amendments.

The code adopted by this article is amended and changed in the following respects:

(1)

Section 105.2 is deleted in its entirety.

(2)

Section 105.3.1.1 is deleted in its entirety.

(3)

A new Section R105.10 - Contractors Licensing is added to the code:

It shall be the duty of every contractor or builder who shall make contracts for the erection or construction or repair of buildings for which a permit is required, and every contractor or builder making such contracts and subletting the same, or any part thereof, to obtain a license from the applicable state agency and obtain a city occupational license as provided in the general license ordinance.

Section 106.3.1 is deleted in its entirety.

(5)

A new Section 108.6 - Work Commencing Before Permit Issuance is added to the code:

Any person who commences any work on a building, structure, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to a penalty of 100% of the usual permit fee in addition to the required permit fee.

The following chapters and appendices are to be deleted in their entirety and not adopted:

Chapters 11 through 42 and Appendices A through Q.
