§ 4-31. Generally.

The animal control unit may maintain a suitable building and kennels for the confinement of all animals impounded under the provisions of this chapter. Such buildings and kennels shall be kept in a sanitary condition and all animals taken up and impounded therein shall be properly watered and fed while confined in such buildings and kennels. Male animals shall be kept separated from female animals, and quarantined animals shall be kept separated from other impounded animals.
