§ 25-182. Scope.

  • The scope of this division shall include general requirements and prohibitions in respect to the connection, use, protection and maintenance of all sewers forming a part of the sanitary sewerage system of the city, and this division does establish regulations limiting the discharge of all wastes into the sanitary sewer system which could or would cause damage or obstruction of the sewage collection system, which would damage or interfere with the operation of the sewage treatment plants, which would be detrimental to the quality of the effluent and/or the environment, which would contaminate the resulting sludge preventing the opportunity to recycle or reclaim them, or which would cause unreasonable maintenance, attention and expense to either the collection system or the treatment facilities of the POTW and shall apply to all industrial users of the sanitary sewer system as further regulated under this article. Further, this division provides enforcement actions and penalties for violations of the regulations established herein.
