§ 25-67. Determinations regarding extensions of service and additional service connections.

The city administrator, or his authorized representative, shall have the sole authority
to determine the adequacy of existing water system mains and sanitary sewer collection
lines for the purpose of making additional service connections thereto. Likewise,
the city administrator, or his authorized representative, shall have the sole authority
to determine whether it would be economically feasible for the city itself to extend
and/or replace water or sewer lines into additional and/or existing service areas.
The city administrator, or his authorized representative, shall have the authority
to issue written permits authorizing the designated permittee to have access to the
city's easements and rights-of-way for the installation of water service lines and
sanitary sewer service lines, and for extensions to the water and sewer utility systems
of the city in circumstances where, pursuant to Resolution Number R-188-84, the city
administrator, or his authorized representative, has determined that it would not
be economically feasible for the city itself to extend or replace water or sewer lines
into additional and/or existing service areas or has determined that existing water
or sewer lines are not adequate for additional connections.
