§ 24-16. Use of city-owned parking lots.

(a)

No organized activity other than parking is permitted in city-owned or operated parking lots, including surface parking lots and parking garages, without prior written approval. The city administrator or his designated agent may grant written approval for a requested organized activity if the activity is to be conducted on no more than three (3) days (or parts of days) in a twelve (12) month period. For any organized activity which will be conducted on more than three (3) days (or parts thereof) in a twelve (12) month period, written permission may be obtained only from the board of directors of the city.

(b)

The provisions of this section shall not apply to an organized activity which is an event permitted through the parades and special events ordinance codified as section 24-201 of this Municipal Code.
