§ 19-72. Appointment, powers, duties.

  • (a)

    The historic district commission, originally created pursuant to Ordinance Number 2820, shall consist of five (5) members who shall be appointed pursuant to and shall have the powers and duties specified under the Historic Districts Act, A.C.A. § 14-172-201 et seq.

    (b)

    Any member of the historic district commission who fails to attend three (3) consecutive regular meetings of the historic district commission or who fails to attend any five (5) regular meetings of the historic district commission held during a calendar year shall be deemed to have resigned and a vacancy shall exist in that position.

    (c)

    No member of the historic district commission shall be interested, directly or indirectly, in any contract or job for work or materials or the profits thereof furnished to the historic district commission, and no member of the historic district commission shall participate in any decision regarding any transaction, before the historic district commission in which such member has a personal, business, or financial interest.
