§ 16-12. Penalties.

In the event that the owner or occupant of any real property who is given notice or ordered to abate a condition pursuant to provisions of this chapter shall refuse or fail to so comply with such order or notice within the period of time established for compliance by such order or notice, said owner or occupant shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as set forth in section 1-9 of this Code, and each day of violation shall be deemed a separate offense.
