§ 10-32. Amendments.

  • The code adopted by this article is amended and changed in the following respects:

    (1)

    A new section 310.2.1 is adopted to read as follows:

    It shall be unlawful for any person, while in or on a bed in any hotel, rooming house, apartment house, kitchenette, motel or tourist court located within the City of Fort Smith, to smoke a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe or tobacco in any other form; or to carelessly set fire to, burn or cause to be burned any bedding, furniture, curtains, draperies or any other household furnishings by means of any lighted cigarette, cigars, pipes or other forms of burning tobacco, or by means of matches, lighters and the like, in lighting or attempting to light any cigarette, cigar, pipe or other form of smoking tobacco.

    (2)

    Section 503.2.1 is hereby amended to read as follows:

    Fire apparatus access roads shall have an unobstructed width of not less than 20 feet (6096 mm). Security gates shall have a minimum clear width of 20 feet and an unobstructed vertical clearance of not less than 13 feet 6 inches (4115 mm). The minimum gate width for a single family residence shall not be less than 14 feet (4267 mm) clear width.

    Appendices B, C, D, E, F, G and K are adopted.

    (4)

    Delete Appendices A, H, I and J.
